Plan Afloat For Chuo’s “Comeback” to Urban Center

Epilogue

Chuo’s possible relocation came on and off repeatedly in the past. This time around, however, it has become more realistic as it has been taken up for discussion on formal occasions by both the president and the board chairperson. The school authority looks more serious and is keen to ensure Chuo’s survival in this critical situation posed by the country’s declining birthrate. But on the other hand, there are some professors who look happy, saying that they have seen fewer class-skippers since Chuo moved to the Tama campus. Even if a relocation decision is made, there will be a mountain of difficulties such as finding a land space and money, and what to do with the Tama campus. Incidentally, there are reports that the faculty of literature and the faculty of policy studies will not be relocated. Whether the plan comes through or not, Hakumon Herald hopes that Chuo University will proceed in a better direction.
